There many rumors
circulating within the social pockets of the society, especially in Ialibu Pangia
and wider Southern Highland community that Mr. O’Neill will be contesting the Southern
Highlands Provincial seat in 2022. At this stage, the answer to this question is
YES and NO!
However, to make
sense to social gossips, let’s look at events that are unfolding that might
warrant him to jump on to bigger challenge.
Currently, he’s
the sitting Member for Ialibu Pangia. He was elected as Member for Ialibu
Pangia since 2002 and then easily won three general elections. During four general elections, he did not encounter
major political challenges. ALL four wins were recorded as run away and the
runner up was nowhere near to give him a good challenge.
In 2022, former
Prime Minister will be contested by some candidates, but their chances of
coming home is less than 10%. This means Ialibu Pangia seat is under his belt.
So, why the former
Prime Minister Mr. O’Neill is eyeing Southern Highlands Regional Seat. There are many political events leading up to
2022 swings towards he’s chances of contesting the Provincial Seat, but this
may become clear as we move towards 2022.
Before these
events unfold, I had a dream in 2016 about the overthrow of Hon. Peter
O’Neill’s government. Below is what I saw in my dream and its interpretations.
My 2016 dream:
Peter O’Neill Resigning as Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea.
In my dream, I saw
Peter O’Neill was sitting on the chair.
[Me]: I said in
the dream that people are trying to kill you so you must look after yourself.
[Peter O’Neil]: He
said, Ialibu & Pangia men are trying to kill me.
After saying this,
in twinkling of an eye, he left the chair and was sitting on the dusty floor.
] Me]: I felt
sorry for him, so I fix up a colorful mate and invite him to sit on it.
[Peter O’Neil]: He
said let the person named (name withheld) sit on it.
Again, in
twinkling of an eye; he moved away and sat far corner of the house on a dusty
floor but within the same house.
Interpretation
The Chair he was
sitting is Prime Minister’s Chair.
Ialibu &
Pangia Men trying to kill him:
Southern
Highlands politicians, businessmen, and elders potted the overthrow of Hon. Peter
O’Neill as the Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea. The current Governor of
Southern Highlands Hon. William Powi, and Hon. Michael Nali, Minister for Works
were major players. And some businessmen from Pangia and Ialibu also involved in
the remove of Mr. O’Neill.
Sitting on the dusty
floor:
This indicates
aftermath of his resignation and overthrow of his government.
I fix mate for
him to sit on:
The colorful mate
is Ialibu Pangia seat. I invite him to sit on it is dreamers continue support
for Mr. O’Neill for Ialibu Pangia seat.
But he refuses to
sit on it and ask the named person [name withheld] to sit on it.
Move Away Sat On
A Dusty Floor:
In a twinkling of
an eye like he did to Prime Minister’s seat, he will resign from Ialibu Pangia
Seat in 2022 general to contest for Southern Highlands Provincial Seat.
I had other
dreams about Peter O’Neill on Paraka Saga and UBS Loan. He will not go to
Bomana as many of his critics are thinking.
Peter O’Neill
testing the Water
In 2019, he took
his son Brain O’Neill to Pangia where many people welcome both father and son
in Pangia way. The trip can be best described as testing the political waters of
Pangia. He did not pass the test; in fact, he failed the test. The Kauwo village
[mother tribe] elders told him that they will not support his son [from Kauwo source].
So, he did not have the base votes for his son to rise his hands for Ialibu
Pangia seat.
Head on with Hon.
William Powi
Hon. William Powi
and Hon. Michael and other leaders from Ialibu & Pangia have engineered the
downfall of Mr. O’Neill as a Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea. So, he will
try to return the same medicine to Mr. Powi and Hon. Michael Nali. Since overthrow
of Hon. Peter O’Neill’s government, Mr. Nali has been quite because he knows Mr.
O’Neill will not rest until he returns the same treatment.
Why they remove
their own son who was occupying the top job of the country, instead should take
pride of him and be loyal. The one standout reason is Mr. O’Neill was not
supporting Southern Highlanders Provincial government. Mr. Powi was struggling to bring government
services to his Province. Why he was not
getting enough funding support from Mr. O’Neill’s government is he has long
interest in Southern Highlands Province’s wallet, and that sums-up the poor 2017
general election result for the Southern Highlands Provincial seat.
To Humble the
Critics and The National Leaders:
Hon. Peter
O’Neill is a Warrior and will never accept defeat. He’s a strong believer of
himself and can do anything under the sun. He wants something challenging in
his life so that he has proven beyond doubt many times in his life.
Mr. Powi and Mr
Nali actions have created gap for him to display his political authority in Southern
Highlands Province. His victory at this level will also humble many of his
critics, national leaders and most of all is Mr. Powi. Re-contesting Ialibu
Pangia open seat is a soft game and doesn’t proof his leadership worth.
Formation of a new
government in 2022
In 2022 PNC needs
number to be called in by Governor General to from a new government. There is
highly likely that some current sitting People’s National Congress [PNC] Members
of Parliament are highly likely to lose their seats. He has foreseen and thinking
through in his political wisdom.
Such political scenarios
push him back to his base to build PNC number game. If he endorses someone at
Provincial seat under People’s National Congress party ticket is unlikely to
win. If he himself contest for the seat, 90% chance of Peter O’Neill coming
home is very high.
So, looks obvious
that in 2022 general election the People’s National Congress is highly likely
to secure Kagua Erave, Ialibu Pangia, Imbongu, Nipa Kutubu and possibility Mendi
open seats, giving advantage of 5 seats and if possible, Mendi open seat. Hon. Michael
Nali might join PNC to secure his seat.
To sum, I had 20 more
dreams about Hon. Peter O’Neill, from the start of his political career to the downfall
as a Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea, which ALL have come to pass.
Base on what i have seen in my dreams; I am certain that former Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea will resign Ialibu Pangia Seat either to contest Southern Highlands Provincial Seat or peruse other interests in his life.
