Governors not with happy with the proposed COD19 SOE

The Papua New Guinea  parliament resume at 2:30 pm on the 2nd June 2020. The main issues dominate the parliament was ion COD19.

Straight after the COD19 chairman presented the report, East Sepik Governor, Eastern Highlands Governor and Madang  Governor express their concerns that albeit Papua New Guinea tested eight positive cases of COD19, transmission from the infected person to close relative are none exist. There is no evidence of COD19 to date.

Governor of Madang Peter Yama said Police have abuse the SOE power by brutalizing our citizens. The people are not our energies. Why police destroying people’s garden products? Just simply tell them to take them  back to their villages instead of destroying or pouring them on the public roads. This unacceptable behavior.

Governor of Eastern Highland Province Peter Numa said he feels qualify to make his statement because one case of COD19 positive case was from Eastern Highlands Province, and top date there is no evidence of transmission. We do not need scientists to explain it. It’s simply as the evidence presents itself of the real situation of COD19.

Sepik Governor Allan Bird said government has announced so much money in Waigaini. His province is not receive any funding support from the national government. Their account indicates only K200,0000.00, this is not enough, that is why, they use their internal revenue to do COD19 work in his province.  He further said he will not vote for the extension of COD19 because the evidence itself speaks the volume.

PNC & Pangu Head-On for Goroka Open Seat By-Election

The Rt Honorable Prime Minister James Marape openly said that Pangu will not endorse official Pangu candidate to recent Menyamya by-election, in respect to the former Member.

While Peter O'Neill endorsed a  wining official candidate Mr. Benjamin Philip.

If he’s own son can contest under Hon. Sam Basil’s party banner. How on earth the Prime Minister gave such  respect to come down low.

For any government to survive, and to prepare for 2022 general election, Prime Minister secretly endorse a candidate to keep his government floating on the water.

Yet PNC send former Member of Parliament Mr Benjamin Philip and he’s victory has uplift the drowning political life of PNC party in Papua New Guinea. After winning this seat the PNC party leaders and supporters feel that rural people still favorite PNC party because the party’s popular people centered policies.

Goroka open seat by-election a testing time for PNC & Pangu
Prime Minister James Marape-Pangu Party & former Prime Minister Peter O'Neill - PNC Party openly announce that they will endorse a candidate each. Other parties will also endorse a candidate of their choices to build-up numerical strength which will prepare them for 2022 nation general election.

While the party leader and former Prime Minister Peter O’Neill is lockdown in Australia due to COD19, the deputy party leader Richard
Maru formally officiate the announcement of ousted Goroka MP Henry Ame, which was witnessed by highly respected political icons of Eastern Highlands Province like Hon. Allan Benny [Ungai-Bena], Robert Atiyafa [Henganofi] at his Kefamo village outsider Goroka town. Honorable Member for Lupa open seat openly was in tears when former Prime Minister was overthrown on the floor of parliament in May 2019. These are the guys who will strongly campaign to restore the lost pride of PNC party. No other parties will have that kind of support from the political icons of Eastern Highlands Province.

Peter O’Neill is not a newcomer to Goroka town, all the street kids knows him during schools’ days and then to running South Super business days.  There is strong support for PNC and highly likely for PNC to easily walk to the finishing line.

PNC party name is written on impact projects in the heart of Goroka town and these projects will be the speak for Mr Ame’s campaign. Hon. Allan Benny is well respected and longest serving member of Parliament and his support will open many doors for Ame to reclaim his seat.

Why Mr Ame chose the PNC party?  Political logic is that albeit PNC is not in power he can reclaim his seat under PNC easily with the support of big political guns of Eastern Highlands Province.

On other hand, Pangu will endorse a candidate and it’s going to be biggest challenge. Pangu has little political trademark in Eastern Highlands Province political seats, and Prime Minister James Marape is a kid in Goroka town, so, it’s going to be challenging for Pangu to come home over PNC party. If it does, surely, Pangu policies, its performance in last one years is speaking the volume and 2022 will be big time ahead.

In Papua New Guinea political history, any candidates endorsed by sitting Prime Minister always gets the upper hands and runs to the finishing line, and hopefully this trend carry’s on to Goroka by-election come June.

Many rural people are saying Prime Minister James Marape is sweet talker base on no solid policies. They said we’re fade up of sugar-coated political grandstanding.

One person on the street said, “he a photocopy leader, he copied Peter O’Neill’s style of leadership. He has little influences, and no wider political and business network, it’s all superficial, so I will not vote for Pangu party candidate”.

Whichever party especially PNC & Pangu wins the Goroka seat will go into 2022 national general election with lots of confidence while the loser with uncertainty.

However, Goroka seat is know for many candidates lining up so the smartest one will win the seat but PNC is a horse top come home.

Menyamya by-election Restore Peoples National Congress’s Political Lifeline

By election in Menyamya open seat have restored the pride, integrity and reputation of the People’s National Congress [PNC] party. The People’s National Congress, a party highly tagged with corruption in Papua New Guinea, pushed hard down into the drain by James Marape, who was a senior cabinet Minister and man behind all government deals.  Many people thought PNC would not comeback to life but Menyamya restore the political lifeline. [image Peter O'Neill, PNC Party leader & former Prime Minister of PNG & Member for Ialibu Pangia].

The People’s National Congress [PNC] was people’s choice government in 2017 general election.  The party’s platform was base on free education and health care. The PNC lead government put millions of kids in the classroom and basic free health care service to many people, albeit the health service was not of that standard.

Bryan Kramer member for Madang open seat, use facebook platform to influence the hundreds of thousands of facebook Users, who are the Voters of national leaders [politicians] overthrow PNC lead government in May 2019, and install Pangu lead government.

The current Prime Minister James Marape was senior cabinet Minister during PNC lead government for full eight years and he was the center of what exactly went wrong or right in the government. So, he capitalized Kramer’s facebook influence and break the PNC government and become Prime Minister.

Menyamya brings PNC back to political lifeline
Many politician analyses and many voters view PNC was death and will be wiped out in 2022 general election.  However, this is now proven wrong when people of Menyamya voted backed PNC endorsed party candidates.

base on PNC party’s policies which are people centered policies, especially free education and health care.

The by election was a touch one said Benjamin Philip but because of the PNC party’s policy platform, the Voter demonstrate their confidence in the party’s strong standard on the policy which has proven while in government.

The Voters were not blind. They have seen the fall of PNC party yet in their wisdom they view PNC party has the best policies that can support them and their children. This is hard decision because they know that the member elect will be in opposition.

Pangu Party is gone in Morobe
The party leader, Prim Minister James Marape’s decision not to endorse a candidate is a slap on Pangu die-hard supporters in Morobe. The Pangu Party did not endorse a candidate merely demonstrate fading of Pangu in Morobe 2020 and 2022.

How can a sitting government withdraw his political interest in a hometown where the party he leads is most loved by her people, this is total let down?

2022, Pangu will not come back to life in Morobe. The Morobe people are burying the party until the true son and daughter of Morobe rise then they will revive to its glory.

Why did not Pangu endorse a candidate? Simply in respect! This is total lie and Morobians knows Pangu is going the drain now.

Sam Basil have slapped Morobians in their face when he joins Peter O’Neill to form the new government in 2017 and James Marape fail them in Menyamya by election.

In 2022 general election, Morobe will not come together as a people to support Pangu party but they will vote on their individuals’ choice.

The by election was conducted after the sitting Member of Parliament died
